- The 2010 Miss Black USA Red Dress Photo Shoot took place during the Martin Luther King Jr., Holiday weekend January 16-18, 2010. Celebrity Fashion Photographer Beverly Alford was booked to take photos. Teen & Miss Black New Jersey went down to Washington, DC for the event. Pictures will be available soon!
December 19, 2009 | 2010 Miss Black New Jersey USA Pageant
- On Saturday, December 19th, Seven (7) Miss Contestants and Four (4) Teen Contestants gathered at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ.
They were joined by celebrity host Antonique Smith (2009 Biggie Movie) and celebrity judges Nole Marin (Former Tyra Banks ANTM Judge), Malikha Mallette (Ed Lover Show on Power 105), Yancey Edwards (Hair Stylist), Lisa Durden (Brick City Producer), and Teresa Giudice (Real Housewives of NJ). By show time at 7:00pm the worst snow storm to hit New Jersey in years was well under way.
It was an amazing show with opening dance, fitness, talents, evening gown and Q&A segments!

December 1, 2009 | Disney Introduces Black Princess
- The Princess and the Frog" opened nationwide in December and for the first time in Walt Disney animation history, the princess is a young black girl. Princess Tiana, is a throwback to Snow White and Cinderella. Tiana is a young waitress and talented chef who dreams of owning her own restaurant one day. The Miss Black USA Princess Program was launched in response to Disney's historical development.
